The user software has a familiar interface which makes it easy to use for all skill levels. The Event Manager will alert you in the event of a problem or missed backup, so "no news is good news!" If there is trouble, it only takes one click of the mouse to get back on the right track.

NeverLoseData™ Online Backup provides a totally invisible mode of operation that silently backs up data at scheduled intervals without interrupting your daily work...keeping assets protected and your time productive. What is NeverLoseData™ Online Backup?

NeverLoseData™ Online Backup is an automated solution that allows computer users to routinely backup and recover their important data using a secure and trusted server on the Internet. Our service automatically compresses and backs up your computer's data via an internet connection to our secure data center.

I already use tape/Zip/CD/DVD backup. Why would I need this?

On-site backups can be erased, lost, destroyed, or stolen. If your offices burned or flooded, your existing backup media could be rendered irretrievable. NeverLoseData™ Online Backup gives you the security of having off-site backup copies of your mission-critical data that will still be accessible if disaster strikes your facility.

Users that want an added level of protection can perform local backups in addition to their online backup. Local backups can allow you to backup ALL of your files, while the online backup is a great way to automatically store your critical files off-site. How does NeverLoseData™ Online Backup work?

NeverLoseData™ uses your existing Internet connection to backup your critical files and data to our secure servers. NeverLoseData™ works with dialup or broadband connections.

To make the backup task easy and automatic, NeverLoseData™ offers its Online Data Backup Service using our secure, user-friendly software. The software is designed to copy versions of your important files to a private, secure location on a scheduled basis, or on-demand when you have added important files that you want protected. While the data does travel over an Internet connection, it is securely wrapped in an impenetrable 448-bit encrypted envelope to prevent any chance of unauthorized access.

The service saves each revision of your files, so you can always restore the latest, or any of the previous backed up versions (up to 30 backed up versions prior to the most recent)!

What if I'm using a slow internet connection?

Depending on the speed of your connection and the size of your backup, your initial backup over the Internet may take several hours. Many people with large backup sizes and slower Internet connections will often run their first backup over the weekend.

NeverLoseData™ Online Backup uses bit-level backup. This means that when you make a change to a file - a document, spreadsheet, database, etc. - NeverLoseData™ Online Backup only needs to upload the bits of data that changed, not the entire document. This means that once your first backup is completed, each subsequent backup is usually a small amount of data that can be backed up in just minutes over a slower dialup connection.

NeverLoseData™ Online Backup can also resume a canceled backup, so you can start the backup during your slow times and cancel it during your busy times. The next time you start the backup, it will pick up from where it was canceled until the entire backup is complete.

What operating systems does it work on?

NeverLoseData™ Online Backup client software can be installed on any Windows 98SE, Me, NT, 2000, 2003 (.NET) or XP computer.

Can I use it on more than one computer?

Your purchase of the NeverLoseData™ software entitles you to install and run it on one computer.

However, NeverLoseData™ Online Backup supports mapped network drives and the Network Neighborhood, it can backup data from any computer that is accessible via the network. A single NeverLoseData™ client can backup the local computer and any number of local or remote network computers using NeverLoseData™'s powerful user interface.

How secure is my data?

Whenever data privacy is an issue, some type of encryption needs to be employed to insure that the data can only be accessed by users with the correct access codes. Encryption allows a user to specify an access code or password which is used to make computer data unreadable to anyone without the correct password. There are hundreds of encryption algorithms available today, but a few stand out as industry leaders. The DES algorithm is a popular algorithm of the past that has been used by the U.S. Government as the standard encryption algorithm.  Another popular algorithm is the Blowfish algorithm which allows a more powerful encryption and faster performance than DES. These encryption algorithms are currently available in NeverLoseData™.

During transmission over your Internet connection, your data is securely wrapped in an impenetrable 448-bit encrypted envelope to prevent any chance of unauthorized access.
